Fast Track Admissions
Sometimes the right decision cannot wait. Sometimes the right school comes into focus at an unexpected moment. If your family needs to move quickly, we can move with you. Talk to our Admissions Registrar and we will take it from there.

Not every Sixth Form is the right one, and sometimes that becomes clear earlier than anyone would have chosen. A school that does not offer the right subjects, a pastoral environment that has not worked, a course combination that turns out not to be available, these are real reasons to look at moving, and they do not become less urgent because the academic year is already underway.
We are used to having this conversation and we do not find it unusual. If there is a place in the Sixth Form and a student who would benefit from being here, we would rather move quickly and make it work than lose the year.
Who this is for
Students who have started Year 12 at another school and need to transfer. Students who what to change to a course that is unavailable to them. Students joining from overseas mid-year. We will consider all of these, and the conversation does not need to be complicated to start.
How it works
Contact the admissions team directly, by phone or email, with as much or as little information as you are comfortable sharing. We will tell you whether there is a suitable place and what the practical steps look like.
If there is a place, we will arrange for you to visit the school, meet the Headmaster and Head of Sixth Form and discuss the subjects you need to continue or start. We will want to understand where you are in your course and what you need to complete it successfully. A short meeting is usually enough to establish that. References and reports help but will not hold up a decision when speed matters.
Curriculum continuity
Where a student is joining mid-course, part-way through Year 12 or into Year 13, the subject teachers will assess where they are and what they need to catch up. This is straightforward in most subjects and our teachers have experience of it. We will be honest with you if a particular combination is not manageable, but that is a relatively rare situation.
Settling in
Sixth Form students tend to adapt quickly, partly because the environment here is less hierarchical than younger parts of the school and partly because they are usually highly motivated to make the move work. The Head of Sixth Form and personal tutor will both be involved from the start, and the pastoral team monitors the early weeks closely.
Fees and financial considerations
We understand that an unplanned school move can bring financial questions alongside everything else. We are happy to talk through fees, bursary options, and any other practical considerations openly and without pressure. A conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
The simplest first step is a phone call. Contact the admissions team on 01963 211015 or admissions@leweston.dorset.sch.uk.
