A Level Results and Destinations

Leweston has an excellent academic record with students achieving some of the best Sixth Form results in the region. Every year our students win places at the UK’s top universities but what is most important to us is that all students find a pathway that fits with their ambitions and aspirations.

Leweston's results reflect the school's consistent commitment to academic excellence, creativity, and future-focused learning.

In 2023, Leweston students achieved the best A Level results in nearly a decade, with A or A* grades at twice the national average. This performance significantly surpassed the school’s pre-COVID benchmarks, marking a major academic milestone. The momentum continued in 2024, when over a third of students gained at least one A or A grade*, and seven pupils earned a combined total of 12 A*s and 8 As.

In 2025, Leweston students once again delivered an exceptional performance. Again, over a third of pupils received straight A and A grades*, and well over half gained at least one top grade. Nine subjects, including English Literature, Religious Studies, Music Technology, Fine Art, 3D Design, and Photography, achieved 100% A to B grades*. Seven pupils earned a remarkable 14 A*s and 5 As.

Across these three years, Leweston students have pursued a diverse and ambitious range of university courses, from Medicine, Biochemistry, and Psychology to Environmental Economics, Marine Photography, Mixed Reality, and Product Design. Vocational interest has also grown, with applications to courses like Criminology with Policing, Sports Coaching, Agricultural Business Management, and Consumer Behaviour and Marketing. These results reflect not only academic strength but also a rich landscape of ambition, creativity, and global awareness. Leweston continues to empower students to achieve excellence and explore bold, future-facing pathways.
