These may the courses for you if you are passionate about horses, interested in working in supervisory roles in the equine industry or seeking to progress on to Higher Education.

The Extended Certificate offers an engaging programme to students which combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills, covering topics like horse care, health, and management, as well as business and riding aspects. It also introduces business principles relevant to the equine industry.

The Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A Levels and will normally be the only qualification in a two-year study programme. This qualification serves as preparation for a higher education course. This route gives learners the opportunity to enter the sector at a higher level, or in a more specialist role.

We have two specialist teachers who deliver the courses supported by a range of external specialists. Both the Extended Certificate and Diploma involve work placements which apply the skills to real-world settings. Equine Management students spend a substantial amount of time at the yard and are student leaders at the LCRA.
