Welcome to Leweston
For contact details click here.
Leweston School is a Catholic, independent school for girls aged 11 to 18. Set in 46 acres of beautiful Dorset parkland the school sits just three miles outside the historic town of Sherborne.
Our motto, 'Gaudere et Bene Facere' - 'Rejoice and Do Well' dates from the seventeenth century and was adopted in the nineteenth by the School's founders, the Religious of Christian Instruction. The motto applies to pupils and staff alike and suggests not only that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well, but also that it is worth doing in the right frame of mind; one which is positive, outgoing and cheerful.
Girls from Leweston are well-balanced young women who can take their place in the world with confidence. They go on to contribute to society in many different ways reflecting the many and varied opportunities placed before them at school.
This website is, of course, only a snapshot of life at our school. Better still, come and visit us! We are embarked upon the most exciting adventure of education which is still challenging and fun. Your daughter could benefit in so many ways and we look forward to meeting you with her so that you can see for yourself what we can offer her.
