How is CST integrated into the Catholic life of the school?

• We teach CST as part of the curriculum, especially in Religious Studies & PSHRE, however all subjects include the key principles in their schemes of work. We use various resources and methods to help students understand and apply CST to their own lives and contexts, with particular reference to Cafod.
• We promote a culture of respect, dialogue, and solidarity among students, staff, parents, and other stakeholders. We encourage diversity and inclusion, and address any forms of discrimination or bullying. We celebrate the achievements and contributions of different groups and individuals in the Leweston school community.
• We provide opportunities for students to engage in social action and service learning. We connect them with local and global issues and organizations that align with CST values. We help them reflect on their experiences and how they can make a positive difference in the world.
• We nurture a spirituality of stewardship and care for creation. We teach students about the environmental challenges facing our planet and how they can respond with ecological awareness and responsibility. We implement practices that reduce waste, conserve energy, and protect natural resources in the school.
• We foster a sense of vocation and discernment among students. We help them discover their gifts and talents, and how they can use them for God's glory and the service of others. We support them in their academic, personal, and spiritual growth, and guide them in their choices for their future.

Catholic Social Teaching is not only a set of teachings, but also a way of living out our faith in action. By integrating CST into the Catholic life of the school, we can help our students become more aware, compassionate, and committed to building God's kingdom on earth.
